Behind the bar
Chef Shin
Chef Shin’s work is grounded in a lasting devotion to the craft of sushi. He was part of the team at the original Mikado in Grand Rapids when the restaurant received Grand Rapids Magazine’s “Best Sushi of Grand Rapids” recognition in 2008.
He later opened ATO Sushi, now a downtown Grand Rapids favorite among local diners. Over the past decade, he has also mentored many sushi chefs across West Michigan, sharing his knowledge and dedication to the craft.
Today, he brings more than twenty years of experience to the sushi counter at Mikado in Lansing.
